The Addition Shield LEDx1 is the smallest and the simplest board from the Tinusaur family. We also call it the Blue Dot. It has only 3 components: Resistor, LED, and 2-pin Header. It is ideal for getting started with soldering.
IMPORTANT: To use this shield board, you must also have a Tinusaur main board, as it is mounted on top of it. Alternatively, you could connect it directly to a power source such as a small battery.

- The Addition Shield LEDx1 is suitable for 4th-grade students or older.
- Assembling the board takes between 5 and 15 minutes.
The Shield LEDx1 board could be connected directly to the Tinusaur main board and used as an LED indicator and any of the 5 available Input/Output pins that the ATtiny85 microcontroller has. This could serve as a debugging or diagnostic tool in various situations.
Activities
(1) Assembling the Shield LEDx1 board and learning the basics of soldering, where and how to place electronic components on the PCB, what polarity is, and how to comply with it.
(2) Electrical circuit. Learn how the resistor, LED, and power source are connected and what are the applicable laws of physics – electricity in particular.
Since it is very simple and inexpensive, the Shield LEDx1 board is a great utility that could be used for learning soldering without risking doing anything wrong on another important board.

Resources
Guides
We prepared very detailed instructions for assembling and using all the boards and other items in the kit. They are available in PDF and other formats.
Video
For some of the boards and other items, we also produced detailed instructions and other helpful materials in a video format, available on YouTube or our website.
Docs & Specs
Additional resources such as specifications, technical descriptions, sample programs, and other useful materials are available on our website.
Development Environment
We created the Blocktinu, developed specifically for the Tinusaur boards, allowing you to create programs using blocks (similar to Scratch) and directly in the C language.
